Overview
ION Talent is placing Data Engineering and Analytics Leads for clients building modern data platforms, lakehouse architectures and AI-ready data infrastructure across the GCC. Roles span technology, financial services, energy and government sectors.
Responsibilities
- Lead data engineering team across ingestion, transformation and serving layers
- Architect lakehouse or warehouse solutions on Databricks, Snowflake or BigQuery
- Own data quality, governance and data catalogue standards
- Partner with data science and AI teams on feature engineering pipelines
- Drive adoption of analytics and self-service BI across the business
Requirements
- 8+ years in data engineering or analytics, minimum 3 in a lead or manager role
- Strong Python, Spark and SQL skills
- Hands-on platform experience with Databricks, Snowflake or BigQuery
- Experience with dbt, Airflow or equivalent orchestration
- Knowledge of data mesh, DataOps and data governance best practices
