General Counsel / Head of Legal

Overview

ION Talent places General Counsel and Senior Legal Counsel for clients across financial services, technology, energy and real estate in the GCC. Candidates with dual GCC and international legal qualification and strong M&A, regulatory or commercial contracts experience are consistently sought.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice across commercial, corporate and regulatory matters
• Lead M&A, JV, financing and major contract negotiations
• Build and manage in-house legal teams
• Liaise with external counsel and regulatory bodies
• Advise the board on governance, compliance and legal risk

Requirements

• Qualified solicitor, barrister or equivalent in relevant jurisdiction
• 12+ years post-qualification experience including in-house exposure
• Strong M&A, corporate or commercial contracts background
• GCC legal experience or UAE/KSA regulatory knowledge preferred
